![]() Appreciating his relationship with the honor-bound Khem Val, Lord Hord placed his servant and ally in suspended animation inside a Stasis Chamber deep in the heart of what would later serve as Sith Lord Naga Sadow's tomb on Korriban. One who did prove worthy during Hord's life was his only known apprentice, Ortan Cela, who came to learn much from the great Sith. Discovering and conquering the Dromund System, it was believed that the Sith Lord conquered over a hundred worlds for the Empire. He also managed to uncover the secret of eternal life, to which he scattered much of his teachings in hidden and hard to reach locations to ensure only the worthy could obtain his knowledge. Lord Hord continued his endeavors into the arts of Sith sorcery, authoring many tomes of knowledge and crafting his personal holocron. Hord decided to deal with the situation by having Kallig assassinated, with his family subsequently going into hiding. While Kallig's military prowess gained Hord enormous success, it also intimidated the Dark Lord, who feared that Kallig could become a very dangerous rival. Earning the titles "Lord of Hate", "Master of the Gathering Darkness", and finally, Dark Lord of the Sith, Lord Hord went undefeated, slaying all who dared to challenge his might. During the battles, Hord employed his knowledge of Sith rituals, draining the strength from his opponents and feeding off of it. After Kallig's victory, Hord decided to accept him, and he led Hord's troops to numerous victories. Kallig refused to accept dismissal, however, and challenged Hord's best general and beat him. While on the campaign, Tulak would be evenually come across one of his companions Aloysius Kallig, who sought to serve him by his side. Assembling a massive army of followers, Hord and Val led a campaign of terror against rebellious militants on the planets Yn and Chabosh, crushing them. During his early years, Hord fought an honorable duel against a Dashade named Khem Val, who later became his most faithful ally. Rising through the ranks as one of the first Sith Lords in galactic history, Tulak Hord was feared by his rivals even in his early days, having mastered the art of lightsaber combat and manipulation of the Force. The former Jedi then took the knowledge of the Sith and made it their own, and created the first Sith Empire. The Dark Jedi, referred to as "Jen'jidai", would also become the first Sith Lords, with Ajunta Pall becoming the first Dark Lord of the Sith. This gave Ajunta Pall to take Graush's place as leader of the Sith. The Dark Jedi then suborned Graush's Shadow Hand to their side, with the result that Graush was betrayed to the Dark Jedi and was executed by their leader Ajunta Pall, who used Graush's own war sword to do the deed. Once they landed in the Valley of the Sleeping Kings, the inhabitants led by King Hakagram Graush, greeted the Exiles with hostility however, the Dark Jedi were able to use their superior technology, lightsabers, and Force knowledge to foil their attempts. Thanks to Sorzus collecting rumors and information from refugees about Sith space and the Sith people, they managed to uncover the location of the planet Korriban, for which it was inhabited by pureblooded Sith. Afterwards, Tulak and the eleven other surviving Dark Jedi were forcefully put on a ship and exiled for their crimes.Īfter being exiled by the Republic and the Old Jedi Order, Tulak Hord, Ajunta Pall, XoXaan, Karness Muur, Remulus Dreypa, Aloysius Kallig, Andeddu, Broodica, Ergast, Pharsol, and Vacuus traveled to the unknown, making sure the Jedi or Republic could not follow them. However, he, along with Ajunta Pall, XoXaan, Karness Muur, Remulus Dreypa, Aloysius Kallig, Andeddu, Broodica, Ergast, Pharsol, and Vacuus, were among those that survived after they were defeated in the battle of Corbos. Learning the power of dark side alchemy from Master Pall, Tulak would use the dark side against his enemies. As one of the Dark Jedi, Tulak Hord and those that were devoted to Ajunta Pall would fight against the Jedi and the Republic, a war that would be known as the Hundred-Year Darkness. Because of what the Council had done, Tulak Hord was among the Jedi that rebelled against their former masters and followed Ajunta Pall. However, like a number of other Jedi, Tulak started to learn the secrets of the dark side, something that the Jedi High Council did not permit. Known to be strongly connected to the Force at a young age, Tulak Hord was brought into the Old Jedi Order and learned the ways of the Jedi.
